Udio Alternative

Looking for a Udio alternative? Start with whether you can download the song.

Udio disabled downloads of audio, video and stems for all users on 2025-10-30, so tracks made there cannot be exported, delivered to a client or published. TinyMusic works the other way round: generate a song, preview it, download it. An MP3 for personal use is free; WAV export, unlimited downloads and commercial use on every song you own unlock with any single purchase.

How to Move Off Udio in Three Steps

You cannot bring your old Udio songs across, and Udio cannot export its audio. Start a new catalogue here instead.

01

Describe the song you need

Write the genre, mood, tempo, instruments and whether it needs vocals, and send it from the box above. If you need the lyrics to stay exactly as written, paste them in. Nothing to configure and no prompt syntax to learn.

02

Preview the result in your library

Generated songs are saved to your library, so the same track stays where you can find it. Listen to it in the browser and regenerate if the arrangement is not what you asked for. Each song costs undefined credits.

03

Download, and buy once for commercial use

Download the MP3. If you publish, sell or hand it to a client, buy anything once: a plan or a top-up. That single purchase unlocks WAV export, unlimited downloads and commercial use for every song on your account, including the ones you made before buying.

Udio vs Suno vs TinyMusic: What Each One Lets You Take Away

Only mechanics that can be checked: what you can download, what the licence covers, what the credits cost. No claims about which generator makes better music.

What Changes When the Song Can Leave the App

Three practical differences, stated as mechanics rather than as a claim about sound.

A track you generated is a file you hold

The main problem with Udio is not how its generator sounds, it is that the audio cannot come out. On TinyMusic every generated song can be previewed and downloaded, and after a single purchase there is no download cap, so a batch of client revisions does not run into a monthly limit.

One licence, whatever you pay

Plans add credits, not rights: Basic, Pro and Studio carry the same commercial licence, and any purchase applies it to songs you generated earlier on the free account. You do not re-license the same library by upgrading a tier.

Credits with a clear expiry

One song costs undefined credits and the price is shown before you generate. Plan credits are valid for the plan period, and top-ups you buy separately do not silently vanish, so credits you paid for are not reset out from under a project.

Who Switches From Udio, and Why

The situations where a song you cannot download is the blocking problem, not a minor annoyance.

YouTube and social channels

A video needs a file to upload and a cleared licence to monetise. Generate the track, download it after any purchase, and keep a record of what you used on which video.

Freelancers and agencies

A client deliverable means an audio file plus terms you can quote. One purchase covers every song on the account, so a project does not need a new subscription per track.

Karaoke and vocal work

If you need the arrangement without the singer, generate the song here and split it into vocals and instrumental in the app, instead of waiting for a stem export that is not available.

Podcasters and indie game audio

Intro themes, background beds and loops all end up in an editor. Download one at a time, re-download when an episode changes, and keep using the same library without a download counter.
